Main Entry: quality assurance
Function: noun
: a program for the systematic monitoring and evaluation of the various aspects of a project, service, or facility to ensure that standards of quality are being met

Most institutions apply the terms “quality control” and “quality assurance” interchangeably. It should be noted that Quality Assurance, from the definition listed above, is actually the application of quality control measures throughout the system (whether it is analytical, preparatory, sampling, management, etc.) to ensure the desired objectives are met.

ASC has generated and conforms to a Quality Assurance Plan encompassing all aspects of the business including: managerial duties, training, corrective action, method development, sample reception, sample handling, sample preparation, sample analysis, data validation, and reporting. All employees of ASC are required to review and adhere to the Quality Assurance Plan. To ensure that the Quality Assurance Plan is reviewed and governs the actions of all ASC employees, it is incorporated into all new ASC employee's training requirements and an annual review is required to maintain familiarization.

We would be more than happy to share our Quality Assurance Plan with any client to ensure that their quality needs are met and exceeded.
